Located in the heart of Ocean Grove, burrowed away among a stunningly curated native garden, we were engaged to complete a full bathroom renovation.
As the bathroom was the only space we were updating, it was important to design a room that felt fresh & new without looking out of place from the rest of the 70s style home.
It was important to our clients to have a separate bath & shower. As the existing footprint was too small to accommodate this, we pushed into the existing WIR to create a little nook for the shower, while rather than having
a freestanding bath, we opted for a corner bath to maximise space as much as possible.
The only other request from our clients was a long & streamlined floating vanity – so this is exactly what we delivered.
We wanted to keep the existing timber ceiling beams as it was consistent throughout the whole home along with the raw timber entry door. These key features are what set the tone for the bathroom renovation. To add weight to the existing features, we selected a beautiful oak laminate for the vanity & mirror cabinet. The terracotta tiles laid in a basket weave pattern are the ‘hero’ of this space to which everything else was built upon.
We paired them with a speckled, matt, off-white wall tile & beautiful soft brass tapware to further enhance the warmth this space exudes. However, the material that brings all of this together is the stunning marble benchtop - the organic movement, the crisp whites with the warm beige veining together, is what brings this space to life.
